A bridal Lehenga is a form of attire which has its origin from its original form, lehenga choli. This has been a part of our age old traditions. It is a combination of full pleated skirt and different types of corsets, accompanied by a stole. When this garb is designed exclusively with intricate art works and opulent patterns it is a bridal lehenga. A bridal lehenga is usually done up in contrasting colors, where the skirt has a color of orange, pink, maroon, green, yellow, pink and more which is extensively done up with traditional art works, like embroidery, zari work, sequins work, patch work, brasso work and more. The bridal lehenga is then teamed up with a designer corset which could be a bikini blouse or halter neck or any other. The stole and the skirt are usually emblazoned with heavy embellishments and gotta patti work or crystal and stones work in contrasting or metallic shades. These lehengas are usually designed on the fabrics like chiffon, silk, georgette, tissue, brocade, net or a combination of some of these. Designers like Ritu Kumar and Sabyasachi are leading choices for bridal lehengas.
